Bob Dylan adds shows and Kelly
Mon 7th Mar, 2011 in Local News
Bob Dylan has just announced two additional shows in Melbourne and Sydney this coming April and confirmed that Australia’s very own Father Of Folk, Paul Kelly, will be supporting him in both cities as well.
As Kelly himself makes clear in his recent autobiography How To Make Gravy, the man owes quite a debt to Bob Dylan. A Bob fan from way back, Kelly was hugely influenced by Dylan’s unique approach to story telling through song, and subtle nods to the great man can still be heard in Kelly’s music today.
However, it was Kelly’s own gifted song-writing that made him Dylan’s first choice as support back on his 2001 tour and what will make these gigs all the more special this time around.
Tickets for the additional Bob Dylan shows go on sale Wednesday 16th March:

Thursday April 21 – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne – NEW
Saturday 23rd April – WIN Entertainment Centre, Wollongong
