MM9 split after nine years

Call it coincidence, but after nine years, MM9 ( formerly Many Machines on Nine) have announced via Facebook that they are disbanding after nine years together. A statement which appeared on the groups wall reads:

It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce, after nine years, three releases and hundreds of live shows, MM9 have decided to call it a day.

The four of us have been on this ride together for a huge chunk of our lives now, but it’s become inescapably clear in recent times that, as individuals, we’re heading in different directions. We’ve been through a lot together and this was an incredibly difficult decision to make, but at the end of the day we wouldn’t be doing the right thing for our fans or for ourselves if we were to continue without pouring 100% of our hearts and souls into the music we’re making. Unfortunately, that’s something we no longer feel we’re able to do.

Over the years we’ve been privileged to have worked with some of the best and most inspiring musicians and crew this country has to offer. We’ve made a lot of lifelong friends along the way as well. There’s far too many to name here but honestly guys, without your support, we never could have hoped to have achieved the successes we’ve enjoyed so much. An abundance of love and good vibes to all of you.

Above all, we’ve been truly blessed by the most loyal and enthusiastic fans any band could ever ask for, and for that we are immensely grateful.

To all of you, please accept our deepest appreciation for your support through all of these years.

Thank you all…again and again…thank you.

Much love,

Ben, Dan, Luke & Kerry
