Triple J and The Push have announced that Husky, an indie-folk four piece, are the winners of the Push Over Unearthed Band Competition for 2011.
The Melbourne group joins the Push Over festival lineup, which features Children Collide, Oh Mercy, Stonefield and many other great local acts, at The Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne on Sunday 13th of March.
Husky have only just made the trip back home after spending a stretch of time in America recording their upcoming debut album Forever So, which has been mixed in Los Angeles by Noah Georgeson (Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart and The Strokes).
The band will also be playing a Push Over warm up gig at the Evelyn in Melbourne on Saturday 26 February.
