Boogie lineup additions
Fri 25th Feb, 2011 in Local News
Boogie festival’s first round of acts included three time veteran of the festival, swamp legend Tony Joe White, Melbourne supergroup Boomgates, Immigrant Union, Dan Kelly, Oh Mercy and many, many more.
The new additions to the festival include a group of chancers billed as Rogers, Kent, Hopkinson, Lane & Friends who promise to “delight the crowd with superior hits, misses and glorious memories from the golden ages of rock and roll from the 50’s through to the now”.
Two international acts have also joined the lineup – Nashville sweetheart Caitlin Rose and Catskills mountain residents The Felice Brothers, bringing their infectious mix of rock, country and folk to their only festival appearance in Australia.
Boogie will also host the first Victorian appearance for free jazz crew Machete Moon featuring Myles Heskett (ex-Wolfmother) and Cec Condon (Mess Hall) joined by Chris Ross (ex-Wolfmother), Bree Van Rey, Millie Hall (Bridezilla), Brent Griffin (Spod) and Stu West.
