Buskers of Adelaide exhibition
Tue 22nd Feb, 2011 in Local News
Annoying, entertaining or even awe-inspiring, buskers have become an integral part of our cultural landscape.
Photographer, FasterLouder contributor and part-time musician, Matt Carty, is paying homage to these hardy souls who risk constant rejection and seek the reward of spare change every time they perform.
Matt is planning to celebrate the street performing talent Adelaide has to offer and capture some of the iconic buskers in his own inimitable style.
The exhibition, titled, Buskers of Adelaide and sponsored by Mad Australia Productions, will open at Light Square House Level 1, 9 Light Square, Adelaide at 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 23 and will feature some of the buskers who have been photographed, performing on the night.
The exhibition space will then be open to the public from 9am to 3pm February 24 and 25, then the same hours from Wednesday through to Friday until March 11.
