SLAM day anniversary concert

In commemoration of last year’s historic SLAM rally; The Tote is showing its support for our local live music industry by launching an annual SLAM celebration featuring a line-up of homegrown Victorian acts.

February 23rd, which saw 20,000 music lovers storm the steps of Parliament House to bite back at new liquor licensing laws threatening to jeopardise Melbourne’s live music scene, has now cemented itself in history as National SLAM (Save Live Australia’s Music) Day.

For this one-year anniversary, ‘The Tote Jukebox’ event will dish up a bill of Victoria’s most talented, boasting the likes of Dan Sultan, Oh Mercy and Angie Hart, with all proceeds going to the Victoria flood benefit. Collingwood’s illustrious music venue will also auction off the recent Grinderman tour guitar played and donated by Warracknabeal’s favourite native, Nick Cave.
