St Kilda Festival bulks up
Fri 11th Feb, 2011 in Local News
Despite already boasting Tim Finn, Hungry Kids Of Hungary and Stonefield on its line-up, St Kilda Festival has just announced more bands for this weekend’s festivities.
Also strutting their stuff on the St Kilda foreshore this Sunday 13th will be Jebediah, Muscles, The Break, Gareth Liddiard, Opulent Sound, Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes and Jess Harlen. And all this for free!
Hundreds of thousands of Melbournians flock to St Kilda every year to enjoy a day of free live music, food and market stalls, and this year is shaping up to be one of the biggest events yet.
However, if you need a bit of time out from the crowds this Sunday, the Hat-Trick Festival will also be taking place at the St Kilda Bowls club throughout the day. There will be cheap beers, a BBQ and a bunch of local bands including The Fearless Vampire Killers, Kingswood, Red Ink, Matt Sonic & The High Times and San Fran Disco amongst others. The Bowls Club festivities kick off at 12pm and entry is only $10 on the door.
