Katie Noonan and The CaptainsGigs
Sun 30th Jan, 2011 in Local News
Katie Noonan and The Captains are on the verge of kicking off their tour across Australia, playing across February and March.
The group is setting out to play material from their latest album released April last year, Emperor’s Box, an album that departs from Noonan’s previous work due to its experimentation with beats and synths. Her voice continues to be heavily showcased however, with FL reviewer saying of one of her former gigs with The Captains, ‘Noonan has always garnered praise for her beautiful, strong falsetto, and she did not let her fans down’.
With Noonan planning on reuniting with her trio Elixir and classical guitarist Karin Schaupp after this tour, this just may be her last show with The Captains for quite a while.
Katie Noonan and The Captains play these dates:
Monday 21st February – The Famous Speigeltent, Adelaide
