Gary Numan to perform PleasurePrinciple

The original paranoid android Gary Numan will return to Australia this May to mark the 30th anniversary of his seminal album The Pleasure Principle.
Considered by many as the forefather of dark electronica, Numan’s sound has influenced countless musicians over the past three decades. When he released The Pleasure Principle in 1979, the album was hailed as the birth of new wave and its ground-breaking sound can still be heard today in the music of everyone from Nine Inch Nails to The Killers.
Numan will mark the 30th anniversary by performing the album in its entirety at a serious of theatre shows across Australia, his first tour since he headlined Golden Plains Festival in 2009. And just to make the occasion all the more special Numan has convinced Aussie electro pionerrs Severed Heads to come out of retirement to support him.

Friday 13th May – Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Saturday 14th May – The Forum, Melbourne
Monday 16th May – HQ, Adelaide
Tuesday 17th May – Astor Theatre, Perth ( without Severed Heads )
