Raggamuffin changes

The Raggamuffin festival, featuring Mary J. Blige, Jimmy Cliff, Maxi Priest, Sean Paul, The Original Wailers, The Black Seeds, Ky-mani Marley, The Red Eyes and more, has announced several changes to ticket prices and venues.

The tickets have been cut to just $99 dollars (down from $140), and profits from the festival will be donated to the flood relief efforts in Queensland and West Australia.

In response to the devastation in Queensland, all profits from Brisbane’s Raggamuffin concert, has been renamed “Reggae For Recovery – Flood Relief Benefit Concert” and all profits will be donated to the Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal.

The promoters, Andrew McManus Presents, will also donate 10 per cent of profits from the Raggamuffin shows in Melbourne , Sydney and Adelaide to the Flood Relief Appeal and 10 per cent of profits in Perth to the Carnarvon Flood Relief Fund.

Extensive water damage to the Pine Rivers venue in Brisbane has also forced the festival to shift to Riverstage the Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and the festival has also s switched venues in two other cities; with the Sidney Myer Music Bowl replacing the Showgrounds in Melbourne and Raggamuffin Adelaide moved from Memorial Drive to the Thebarton Theatre.

Wednesday 26th January – Fremantle Oval
Friday 28th January – Parramatta Park, Sydney
Saturday 29th January – Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne
Sunday 30th January – Riverstage, Brisbane
Wednesday 2nd February – Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide
