More than just a local music hang-out, Rics in Fortitude Valley has released its first round of announcements for the inaugural Big Backyard Festival in March.

Veteran Aussie rock group You Am I will headline the Brisbane festivities, supported by a host of talented bands including Sydney-based indie boys Guineafowl, pop-punk three-piece Die Die Die and Rics regulars Six Ft Hick.

Regurgitator’s Ben Ely, Jimi Sinclair from Elevation and Dave Atkins (Resin Dogs and Wolfmother) will also grace the stage at Rics first ever mini-fest performing as Pangaea for the first time in 12 years.

The full lineup will feature 21 live bands spanning three stages and an outdoor courtyard.
