Final Sidewaves announced

Following on from yesterday’s bumper Sidewave announcement, Soundwave have released the final run of sideshows for the 2011 festival, including a one-off Slash gig in Brisbane.

Slash with Coheed and Cambria and Taking Dawn:

Wednesday 2nd March – The Tivoli, Brisbane

Stone Sour with Seven Dust and 36 Crazyfists:

Monday 28th February – Luna Park Big Top, Sydney (with Coheed and Cambria)
Wednesday 2nd March – Festival Hall, Melbourne

Murderdolls with Monster Magnet and Dommin:

Tuesday 1st March – Luna Park Big Top, Sydney
Thursday 3rd March – Festival Hall, Melbourne ( with Rob Zombie )

Mayday Parade with Breath Carolina and Every Avenue:

Tuesday 1st March – The Forum, Sydney
Thursday 3rd Macrh – The HiFo, Melbourne

All tickets on sale Friday 21st January at 9am.

i don't think soundwave are gunna make any errors ;)

it's an under-age show so it starts in the arvo, then mayday parade will be on that night.

so fucking pissed one day as a lion didn't announce a solo show, cos i'm from hobart i won't get to see them cos i can't really justify going to the festival just to see them...can't really afford it

The promoter has advised that the Murderdolls show scheduled for Tuesday 1 March has been cancelled.

Further details coming soon.

Refunds available from point of purchase.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say this is on account of extremely poor ticket sales.

I'm guessing that they're still thinking up an excuse. When there are three bands on the bill they probably have to do better than say that someone was sick.

Maybe an outbreak of poorticketsaleitis.

It's a bit hard to sell a show with a headlining band no-one has cared about since 2000 and a support band who are best known for being a pro wrestler's theme song.
