Silverstein Sidewave

Canadian rockers Silverstein will headline a triple-bill Sidewave in Melbourne and Brisbane when they each our shores for Soundwave in March.

Speaking with FasterLouder back in 2009, front-man Shane Told spoke in detail about the creative process behind the band’s first ‘concept’ album A Shipwreck In The Sane: “All three previous records had been written the same way. We would jam until we had enough songs and then work out an order for them. We were bored of doing the same thing…the world is pretty fucked up right now. That was the biggest motivation behind the album.”

The band returned to their traditional method of recording for the new album due out in mid-2011, and their Aussie fans will be some of the first to hear the new material played live.

Joining Silverstein at their two Sidewaves will be post-harcore kids Blessthefall and Michegan based up-and-comers I See Stars.
