Aquatically named bands unite!

Australia’s Deep Sea Arcade and New Zealand’s Surf City are ready to embark on a co-headlining tour down the Australian East coast through February.

Sydney five piece Deep Sea Arcade create atmospheric pop melodies, with singles including Crouch End, Don’t Be Sorry, Lonely In Your Arms and Keep On Walking.

Surf City are also a band to watch in 2011 with their album Kudos receiving great acclaim. FL’s reviewer, Surf City praised the group for producing an album that features bright guitar pop, as well as more abstract forms similar to the work of Animal Collective. Add to this songs with a 60s surf pop vibe and ones that draw upon psychedlia and space rock, and you have yourself a dynamic and experimental band.

On top of this, special guests at the various venues include Step Panther (NSW), Loon Lake (Vic), Danger Beach (ACT) and Mosman Alder (QLD).
