Cee Lo Green cancels on GoodVibrations
Tue 21st Dec, 2010 in Local News
Currently riding a wave of international acclaim on the back of his latest album The Lady Killer and its big single – and likely Hottest 100 front runner – Fuck You, enduring soul-rap warrior Cee Lo Green was set to hit Australia at the 2011 Good Vibrations festival alongside other big names such as Phoenix, Faithless and Nas. But then his name disappeared from the lineup…
FasterLouder can now reveal that the charismatic US artist has now cancelled his appearance at Good Vibes due to scheduling conflicts. Good Vibrations’ has issued a statement to confirm the cancellation: We can confirm that Cee Lo Green has been invited by the Recording Academy to perform live at the Grammy awards in February. Unfortunately this means he will no longer be available to appear at the 2011 Good Vibrations Festival as originally planned. We wish Cee Lo all the best for his performance and his four Grammy nominations.
There’s no word of a replacement for Cee Lo’s spot or whether he’ll make up the dates sometime next year.
Good Vibrations festival dates:
Saturday 12th February – Centennial Park, Sydney
Sunday 13th February – The Nursery, Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne
Saturday 19th February – Parklands Showgrounds, Gold Coast
Sunday 20th February – Claremont Showground, Perth
