Rocket Room Xmas Party
Tue 7th Dec, 2010 in Local News
Rocket Room’s annual Christmas shebang is happening again, but this year they’re doing something different… They’ve gathered together a bunch of the best musicians from all the local bands they’ve supported this year, and rolled them into a couple of tribute bands to get you into the mood for all things cheese this season.
U-Tube is “the greatest U2 tribute band in the world”, comprising Mono (Steve Parkin), The Wedge (Fergus Deasy), Adam Claypot (Johnny Foley) and Larry Mullet Jnr (Joel Quartermain) don’t miss them in what they promise to be their last show ever.
Sea of Tunes is a loving tribute to the melodies and songs of the Beach Boys, and will feature members of Russian Winters, Autumn Isles, Ghost Hotel, 6s&7s, Bank Holidays, Turnstyle and more.
Bud Weezer is the Surf Wax Australia Revue, with members of the Emperors, Split Seconds and The Jackards This too will be a once off performance.
To top it all off, Gyroscope will be doing a rare DJ set with DJ Brett Rowe.
It all goes down on Thursday December 16th at Rocket Room, 174 James St Northbridge. Entry is by invitation only, you can RSVP to request an invitation by emailing rocketroomlive@gmail.com
