BB King plays the blues
Mon 29th Nov, 2010 in Local News
He may 85 years of age but BB King is still undeniably King Of The Blues. The Mississippi legend is headed our way to headline next year’s Bluesfest and, proving that nothing is slowing the man down just yet, has announced two sideshows for his April visit as well.
First picking up a guitar when he was twelve, King developed a unique style of playing that would go on to influence nearly every electric blues guitarist that followed. He came in at number three on Rolling Stone’s list of the ‘100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time’ and over his career has released a whopping 75 albums. In short, you’d be a damn fool to miss out on seeing this man play live.
BB King will play the blues at the following shows this April:
Tuesday 12th April – State Theatre, Sydney
Saturday 16th April – Hisense Arena (reduced mode), Melbourne
Tickets on sale Wednesday 8th December.
