You voted her number one in our poll of ladies who should have made it on to triple j’s Hottest 100 Of All Time; She has an entire theme park named after her; She’s been covered by The White Stripes and now, the outrageous Ms Dolly Parton is headed to Australia.
The country-music legend ( and quite possibly the only human being over 60 that can still pull off a pink, satin jumpsuit ), last week announced on her website that that she has started work on album number forty-one, and in support of the new record “she will embark on her long-awaited visit to Australia in the fall!”.
Given how long they have been waiting for her to return, there is no doubt this news from the Queen Of Jolene will have Dolly fans Australia wide dusting off their rhinestone jackets in anticipation.
