Public Enemy in Sydney
Mon 22nd Nov, 2010 in Local News
Early last year Public Enemy toured Australia treating punters to the full It Would Take a Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back record and with the ferocious energy of those shows in mind it comes as no surprise that their upcoming show at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel in December sold out in just one day.
Chuck D, Flavor Flav, DJ Lord and The S1W’s have now announced a second Australian sideshow this summer, performing their ground-breaking album Fear of a Black Planet in full at the Virgin Metro Theatre in Sydney on Tuesday 4th January.
The band will also play sets at Falls, Sunset Sounds and Southbound, but the sold out Melbourne show and this Sydney gig will be the only club dates on the tour.
Ozi Batla, front man for The Herd and Astronomy Class, will open the show with a set of his own politically charged lyrics.
Tickets on sale Thursday November 25.
