New Beginnings festival

Featuring four stages and two days and nights of music, New Beginnings is a new two-day camping music festival happening on the southern edge of Lake Macquarie over the weekend over the 15th and 16th of January 2011.

The festival aims to offer something previously unseen to music lovers of the Hunter and Central Coast regions with over 80 acts, including Bluejuice, The Holidays, Canyons, The Seabellies and The Snowdroppers, performing for 2000 punters.

Festival organiser’s explain that “There are so many festivals in Australia at the moment; the market is completely saturated with large, corporate events with high ticket & drink prices. We wanted to create an event which is affordable for all – to provide some of the best party bands touring around the country, but also give the amazing talent coming out of local region a chance to showcase their stuff on a big stage. The event is basically a big party over the two days, but with a small capacity, it’s going to be very relaxed”.
