Golden Plains add Belle andSebastian

Last week everyone in the FL office was left white-faced when Golden Plains announced its 2011 festival line-up. There was much spluttering and quite a few back slaps when Aunty Meredith revealed that Best Coast and Wavves would be playing on the same bill as Pulled Apart By Horses and Joanna Newsom.
And now, just to cement her spot as favourite Aunty at this year’s Christmas lunch the old biddy has gone and done it again. Joining the superb 2011 Golden Plains line-up come March is the band that gave definition to the term twee pop – Belle & Sebastian.
It has been over three years since the Glaswegian seven-piece visited our shores, and if ever there was a setting in which to truly absorb their indie pop goodness it is the Supernatural Ampitheatre at dusk.
The Ticket Ballot is still open to all comers at the Golden Plains website and closes10pm Wednesday 10 November 2010. Be in it.
