Final ARIA genre awards for2010

Following the presentation of the ARIAs for in several genre catogories during the week including the awards for Hard Rock , Blues And Roots and Urban and Dance the final two iTunes Live: Aria Awards Concert Series concerts have seen ARIAs awarded to Sia, Birds of Tokyo and Angus and Julia Stone.
At Thursday’s concert featuring Sia and Sally Seltmann awards were presented for ‘Best Country Album ( The McClymonts – Wrapped Up Good ); ‘Best Adult Contemporary Album’ ( Crowded House – Intriguer ); ‘Best Comedy Release’ ( Andrew Hansen, Chris Taylor and Craig Schuftan – The Blow Parade ); and, the one you’re probably dying to find out, ‘Best Classical Album’ ( Paul Dyer and Australian Brandenburg Orchestra – Tapas: Tastes Of The Baroque ).
Friday’s performance by Angus and Julia Stone and Boy and Bear featured the presentation of three, more high profile, awards – with Sia winning ‘Best Pop Release’ for We Are Born; Birds of Tokyo’s self titled album claiming ‘Best Rock Album’; and Angus and Julia Stone’s Down The Way winning the award for ‘Best Adult Alternative Album’.
The final eleven awards, including ‘Album of the Year’. ‘Single of the Year’. ‘Best Female Artist’, ‘Best Male Artist’, ‘Best Group’, ‘Breakthrough Artist’ and the ‘Best Independent Release’ will be presented at the Sydney Opera House on Sunday 7th November.
