Spectrum closing to addresssound leakage issues
Thu 28th Oct, 2010 in Local News
Sydney’s Spectrum will shut down for a couple of weeks, to make modifications to its setup, without pressure from council or residents.
Spectrum’s marketing manager Ben Lucid explained to Mess and Noise that “After we had some sound testing done, we realised that there was indeed an issue that needed rectifying… [we’ll be] moving the stage and installing a new soundsytem”. Lucid promises that the venue’s prized collection of mirror balls won’t be lost in the changes.
Some shows will be shifted to other venues within the Exchange Hotel complex on Oxford St, but the venue is expected to open in a “matter of weeks… better, brighter… and probably louder than ever.”
