That 1 Guy Australian tour

With a new album and a new pipe at his disposal, the entertaining experimentalist That 1 Guy is returning to Australian shores this November and December for a massive tour.

Mike Silverman, aka That 1 Guy, is no stranger to the Australian live music scene. The California based one-man-band has showcased his musical wizardry in front of many, with appearances at Big Day Out, Woodford Folk Festival as well as countless other gigs.

Now, with the release of his latest studio effort Packs a a Wallop! and a brand new version of his trademark instrument the Magic Pipe ready for stage deployment, That 1 Guy is excited to return to Australia. “I love touring all of Australia – the folks, the food, the laughs,” he declared announcing the tour, “New Years Eve 2009 at Woodford was a highlight, 15,000 folks jumping around – fun times. Australia is a totally unique touring experience for me, I feel that live music is taken more seriously in Oz, people travel to the big festivals and the music seems to spread faster.”

The tour, which will span across the nation this November and December, promises to deliver material from the new album, as well as tracks from previous efforts Songs in the Key of Beotch and The Moon is Disgusting.
