Amanda Palmer returns again inJanuary

Rabid Twitterer, piano-slayer, singer, writer, blogger, lover and freak Amanda Palmer has commanded her Sydney fans to save Australia Day – Wednesday 26th January – in their calendars.
Refusing to use capitol letters in a grammatically correct manner, Palmer announced: “by the way SYDNEY comrades: i am coming to you. australia day, january 26th. fucking save it…..goodnight.”
Palmer has also been announced on the lineup of Hobart’s MOMA FOMA festival beside Grinderman, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Health, The Break and a range of performance artists.
A venue has yet to be announced for her Sydney show, or any additional gigs, but Palmer put a call out on her forum in August for fans to suggest weird and unconventional performance spaces: “go wild. starting with the easy ones, like crumbling old theaters that rarely get used but are still playable, to underground dungeons in coober pedy where i can hang with the opal miners and bring them the fine gospel of AFP. i’m seriously thinking of doing a gig in the mines in western oz, i have the ULTIMATE hook-up there.”
