2010 ARIA hosts andperformances announced

After the decidedly odd choice of Kate Ritchie and Gyton Grantley as hosts of the 2009 ARIA awards, Australian music’s night of nights has locked in another Underbelly star to present this year’s awards.

The 2010 hosts will be Neighbours star turned singer turned Underbelly lead Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Brown Hornet vocalist turned Video Hits presenter Dylan Lewis.

A number of this year’s nominated artists will also be performing live at the event being held Sunday 7th November at the Sydney Opera House. Those performing on the night are pop sensation Sia, brother and sister duo Angus and Julia Stone, the lady of 2010 Megan Washington, John Butler Trio and Birds Of Tokyo.

Ensuring that the folk tuning in at home don’t lose interest (or forget which network is televising the event) the guest presenters on the night include Yumi Stynes (co-host of The Circle ), Aussie swimming legend Geoff Huegill, one new model, one almost model and an old model in the way of Amanda Ware, Kelsey Martinovich and Lara Bingle, as well as Ruby Rose and the rest of the MTV crew.

And it wouldn’t be the ARIAs without an awkward appearance from a jet-lagged international guest would it? Taking that honour this year will be the inventor of Aerobic Striptease herself, Miss Carmen Electra.

The 2010 ARIA Awards take place in Sunday 7th November at the Sydney Opera House.
