Hoodoo Gurus head out
Mon 18th Oct, 2010 in Local News
After a six year hiatus Hoodoo Gurus returned in 2010 with their ninth studio album Purity Of Essence, cementing them as one of Australia’s great rock bands.
Having made a number of one-off festival appearances over the last few years, including a blistering set at Meredith in 2007, following the release of Purity the band decided to head out on the road for a full national tour. The shows were lapped up by fans young and old, leading one FL reviewer to declare “The Hoodoo Gurus deserve their status as Aussie rock gods.”
Having had a few months to rest and recuperate the band is itching to head out again and plan to do so this November and December to celebrate the release of a special edition Purity Of Essence, which includes the six part Must Travel On Wheels’ mockumentary the Gurus filmed whilst recording the album.
