Future Music line-up is coming

LOOKING FOR 2011 FUTURE MUSIC LINE-UP? CLICK HERE!

Earlier this year Future Music Festival put on one hell of a party with a line-up that included Franz Ferdinand and Empire Of The Sun and the festival’s promoters are promising even bigger things for 2011 with an event made up of “nothing but straight aces.”

The line-up for the 2011 Future Music Festival will be announced next Thursday October 14th right here on FasterLouder and, giving you just enough time to let it all sink in, tickets for the event will go on sale two weeks later on Thursday October 28th.

In the meantime, you can head to our sister site inthemix and enter a competition to be the first in the country to score tickets to next year’s Future Music Festival.

Future Music Festival 2011 dates:

Saturday 5th March – Brisbane
Sunday 6th March – Perth
Saturday 12th March – Sydney
Sunday 13th March – Melbourne
Monday 14th March – Adelaide

The same could be said for a massive number of bands.

I am sure there are plenty of newer bands you like that will either turn just as bad or won't even have the chance to release rubbish because no one will be interested.

Those debut albums are still fantastic regardless of what comes after. The vast majority of musical acts tarnish/destroy their legacy at some point of their career. Unless you're The Beatles, Neil Young, or Bruce Springsteen, it kind of comes with the territory.

I like 'Hold Your Colour', the song Showdown off 'In Silico', none of Immersion, their Voodoo People remix and the video of them doing Calvin Harris' I'm Not Alone at Glastonbury last year.

I don't understand the hype around the ABC remix...it was interesting the first time but doesn't deserve a 2nd listen. When I was at the Fox around the time it was released, the DJ upstairs played it like 5 times. Overkill of average song = shit song.

I didn't mind In Silico. there were a few tracks on there I really liked - I think Propane Nightmares is a top track. similar to Immersion - there are a few which I love, and a few which I don't. some of it is a bit too heavy for my liking.

But I would never be upset to see Pendulum on a festival lineup.

Unfortunately for me the nearest capital city is Brisbane and that's a > 5 hour drive. With petrol (or sometimes flights if it's in Melbourne or something), accommodation and extra costs, the ticket price seems insignificant.

Wasn't supposed to be humorous, just saying that game probably won't have much bearing on their season overall. Arsenal are a good side, they have just historically struggled with consistency. By all means, this could be their season, but I wouldn't be holding my breath yet.

I went in there just last week and I asked them about Parades (I really want to buy Foreign Tapes) and some young guy there who looked like it was his first day showed me the new Police Force Marching Band album. Really really wish we had a JB Hi-Fi or something here, the best music range is probably at Wow Sight and Sound and even that is a load of garbage.

but in past years I have been so let down by the sound being so low. it's a real turn-off. listening to dance music too low is excruciating.

If you're coming from a distance for Chem Bros. you might as well back-up and go to the festival.

Edit: If you're not interested in Leftfield or Plastikman, it's probably not worth it.

Definately do it, Chems the night before will have such a better crowd + sound then they will at Future, leaving you to indulge yourself in Leftfield and Plastikman.

I'm living in Grafton, Coffs is slightly better then it. The best we have is Sanity and I'm slightly disturbed that they stock more DVD's then CD's seeing as how it was originally a music store and the CD's are mostly Top 40 etc.

We have a Sanity in Centro Toormina, fairly crap range though. I did get some Lou Reed and Hendrix CDs there once upon a time. Grafton Shopping World is not too bad after the refurbishment. Still wish we had a JB Hi-Fi somewhere around here though.
