Rolo Tomassi joins Architectstour

Adding to what is an already jam-packed-with-awesome tour, Sheffield quintet Rolo Tomassi will join Architects on their headline outing in Australia this December.

The band, who earlier this year released their Diplo-produced second album Cosmology, will be joining fellow Soundwave 2010 alumni Architects, Comeback Kid and This Is Hell on their national tour this December.

Accompanying this welcome addition to the tour is the announcement of an under-age Melbourne show, as requested by popular demand.

Architects, Comeback Kid, Rolo Tomassi and This Is Hell tour:
Friday 3rd December – The Hi-Fi, Brisbane 18+
Saturday 4th December – Metro, Sydney A/A
Sunday 5th December – Billboard, Melbourne Under 18 (Matinee)
Sunday 5th December – Billboard, Melbourne 18+
Tuesday 7th December – Fowlers, Adelaide A/A
Wednesday 8th December – Capitol, Perth 18+

hmm i didn't quite enjoy them last year but maybe they are better in a smaller venue than a concrete carpark at the RNA.

Hey, Craig, just off topic - what's Soundwave in Brisbane like?

My brother and I want to do Soundwave but can't stand Eastern Creek. Is the RNA a good venue for the festival?

It is much better than Eastern creek - the carpark is the only downer and heat, but shade and crowd is pretty good. Drinks are mid strength if thats your fancy, but if not it's all in one showgroud area - 5 min walk at worst from one end to the other. Sound spillage isn't too bad. I like it.

So is that a similar set-up to the Big Day Out, where the two main stages are in one separate section?

two main ones are then there are other areas behind the main oval where they set up the metal stage etc. And 5 min walk from valley train station which is great. 30 min walk home for me which is even better !

I only got to see them at Sydney SW, which was really fun. I'd never heard of them before so didn't know what to expect, but they were a stack of fun. Bonus points to the keyboardist/vocalist for soundchecking with the synth part from Jump, haha.

Also, their opening for Jane's was possibly the weirdest shit ever.
