Interpol confirm sideshows
Fri 1st Oct, 2010 in Local News
After headlining Southbound , Falls Festival and Sunset Sounds this Summer, Interpol will be performing two sideshows in support of their highly-acclaimed, self-titled fourth record.
The band’s new album has been viewed as a return to the dark atmospherics of their debut album, Turn On The Bright Lights, with FasterLouder’s review noting that “Acceptance of what they do best – with some minor tweaks – is the right move at this stage of their evolution and they have done well to maintain the mystery and retain the dark drama and post-punk dynamics that are their calling cards.”
Despite losing enigmatic bass player Carlos Dengler after recording the album, Interpol has welcomed Slint and Papa M’s David Pajo and Secret Machines’ Brendon Curtis to the lineup on keys bass and keys respectively.
Fasterlouder presents Interpol sideshows:
Tuesday 4th January – Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Friday 7th January – Palace Theatre, Melbourne
Tickets on sale Thursday 7th October
