Boom Bap Pow! Tour
Thu 30th Sep, 2010 in Local News
Boom Bap Pow! will be hitting the road to launch their latest EP later this month, taking their danceable do wop soul down the south-west coast to Margaret River and Bunbury before heading back to Fremantle and Scarborough. They’ll be taking The Sneaky Weasel Gang along for the ride, and will be joined at some gigs by Boys Boys Boys, Split Seconds, Day of the Dead and Mo Wilson and the Drivers
He picks you up in his parents Cadillac, flowers in hand and clad in the best borrowed suit he could find. Your dad, hovering in the doorway, shakes firmly on a promise to get you home by 11. No later. Everything seems to go hunky dory and you really hit it off over milkshakes at the local diner. Then as he drops you off and speeds off without even so much as a goodnight peck, you shake your fists, you shake your head and you scream. Boom! Bap! Pow! He’s gone.
So it goes, and with the lazy crack of a Motown snare, Perth doo-wop soul 5 piece Boom! Bap! Pow! introduce the soundtrack to this tale of woe. No Pleasin’ is their latest single and never has heartbreak sounded so damn good.
