Tomás Ford insists you attendhis birthday party

Showman, provocateur and gentleman Tomás Ford has announced a national tour that coincides with his birthday. He’ll be heading to Hobart, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane on a three week birthday party tour, and he insists that you attend.

Ask any survivors and they’ll warn you, with a laugh, about Tomás Ford’s gigs. It’s arguably the most intense live show in the country, creating fun and danger in a way that rock bands only dream of.

Something about their tone of voice will suggest that you really ought to check it out for yourself. It’s a common reaction; that’s how he’s built a following around the country for his electro-disco showmanship. Although he is a triple-WAMi award winning producer, has a wardrobe of neon-lit costumes, creates video projections and smoothly croons his twisted pop songs, Ford’s greatest skill is messing with the minds of his audience. He plays with, teases and toys with crowds. Even the most nervous people are usually sporting a Cheshire cat grin and carrying Ford aloft by the end of the show.

He will be bringing a completely reworked show on the road, with a new approach to his equipment and visuals that you’ll have to see to believe. He promises that there will be birthday party surprises at each stop.
