More summer lineup leaks?

Though we’ve been given the dates for the 2011 Laneway festival the full Laneway lineup isn’t due until Tuesday 12th October, however thanks to a chatty band and a very chatty promoter we might be able to lock in a few bands for the festival.

Portland-based indie rockers Menomena, who recently released their fourth album Mines, revealed to triple j that they will be heading to Australia for the festival Laneway Festival early next year.

The other leak come during a keynote address at Brisbane’s Big Sound conference with Michael Gudinski casually mentioning that we can expect to see hipster LA indie group Local Natives at the festival.

These are merely rumours at the moment, but with Wavves, Les Savy Fav, Foals and Pulled Apart By Horses also strongly tipped to be touring, this summer is looking damn fine for anyone who loves ‘indie rock’, even if they don’t own a wardrobe of cut up t-shirts from Copenhagen
