The Bakery returns
Mon 6th Sep, 2010 in Local News
Gone for more than a year, the Artrage Bakery left a seriously big hole where emerging music, art and cultural evolution used to be. After spending a year renovating the Artrage space, our favourite music and arts venue is back!
Oh how we’ve missed it.
The grand re-opening event takes place on Friday 24th September 2010 with the Semi-permanent Conference, and on the following night, the Now Baking Opening party line-up featuring Pond and the poly-drumkit extravaganza that is The Epic of Gilgamesh.
In the coming months the Bakery is cooking up performances from Mulatu Astatk, Sun Araw, Grouper, Eleventh He Reaches London, Low, Damo Suzuki and A Tribe Called Quest.
Now that they’re up and running again, the Bakery is on the hunt for fresh talent and promoters to work with, and in the coming weeks plan to launch some new support and development programs for visual, performance and sound driven artists.
