Sydney songwriter Ernest Ellis and Parades will team up to travel the East Coast in October showcasing their acclaimed debut albums – Hunting and Foreign Tapes.

Ellis’s Hunting, recorded in a farmhouse in Orange, won him a slot on the Splendour In The Grass lineup and backed by a full rock band his songs lift and build to towering crescendos. As FasterLouder’s reviewer noted after seining the band play in July: “Ellis and his band played flawlessly, and the man himself was showcased as a truly superb vocalist”.

Parades have also won acclaim, playing support sets for Gomez and Klaxons and a nailing a slot at Homebake last year. FasterLouder’s reviewer claims that “ Foreign Tapes is a dream which you never want to wake up from, an alternate world to escape to and a triumph of Australian music.”

The bands will be alternating the headline spot each night on tour so be sure to get to the venue early as you never know who’ll be on first.
