You Am I returns in October with a new self titled album and a 16 date national tour.

The tour will be the first opportunity to hear songs from the forthcoming self-titled album, which is been touted as the band’s “finest record since Hourly Daily ”. The new album hits the shelves on Friday 8th October just in time for tour kick off.

Led by the single Shuck, the record is the ninth album for the band and includes the songs Kicking The Balustrade, Let’s Not Get Famous, Crime, and Lie And Face The Sun which features background vocals by Megan Washington.

You Am I will be joined on tour by some very impressive supports along the tour, with Leader Cheetah and City Riots joining the band in Adelaide; Black Cab warming the stage at the Melbourne gig; and Sydney punters treated to a trio of local favourites as Richard in Your Mind, Cabins and Guineafowl open the gig at the Metro Theatre on Saturday 16th October.
