Over the last few days FasterLouder has chatted to New York art punks Les Savy Fav and Californian surf revivalists Wavves – both of whom let slip they expect to be in Australia early next year.
Talking to FL about the band’s new album Root For Ruin yesterday Tim Harrington, the always outrageous frontman of Les Savy Fav, promised he would have the band “over there in February”, whilst Wavves’ main man Nathan Williams told us this morning that he thinks the band is due out in Australia at the start of 2011.
If that isn’t enough goss to wet your musical whistle, Transgressive Records founder Tim Dellow, who is hitting our shores this month for the Big Sound music conference, told us in an interview earlier this week that he hopes to “get Pulled Apart By Horses and Foals out for the [Australian] festivals!”
If all these bits of touring goss prove to be true, it seems we are in for one very indie summer indeed.
Stay tuned to Fasterlouder for the full interviews with Wavves, Les Savy and Tim Dellow in the next week.
