Already confirmed on this year’s Narooma Blues Festival, newly ordained alt-country kid Ben Kweller has announced a run of national sideshows for his trip down under this October.
Since making his move from cherub-faced indie songwriter to cherub-faced alt-country guy, Kweller has started producing some of his most diverse music to date. 2009’s Changing Horses saw Kweller embracing his love of Bob Dylan and whilst dividing critics, produced the radio friendly Hurtin’ You.
Joining Kweller on this national tour is Califonian indie rockers Delta Spirit, who were last in Australia to play Splendour In The Grass in 2009. Their debut album Ode To Sunshine had critics raving upon release and was described by its FL reviewer as “an excellent debut, with plenty of soul and heart to go around.”
Catch Ben Kweller supported by The Delta Spirit at the following shows this October:
Sunday 3rd October – Factory Theatre, Sydney
Tuesdat 5th October – The Hi Fi, Brisbane
Wednesday 6th October – The Hi Fi, Melbourne
Thursday 7th October – The Gov, Adelaide
Tickets on sale Monday 16th August.
