2010 Q Song Award WinnersAnnounced

The winners of the 2010 Q Song Awards were announced last night at the Tivoli in Brisbane. The event which has been running for five years know has an impressive history of recognising Queensland’s up and coming artists from all genres.

This year was the year for Hungry Kids of Hungary, who scooped up Alternative and Song of the Year categories with their single Wristwatch. The band also won the Alternative Category last year for Set It Right.

Other notable wins from the 2010 awards included My Fiction winning the People’s Choice Award with Every June; Dave McCormack accepting the Published Song of the Year for his song I Don’t Even Know Where to Start (With this Kind of Music); Yves Klein Blue’s hit Getting Wise winning the Rock Award’ and Villains of Wilhem taking home the Punk Award for The Oh Yeah.

Q Awards website does not list Yves Klein Blue or Villains winning their respective awards. Instead 26 and Yeow Meow did?

D'oh. Q awards still links to 2009 winners for some reason (even if the URL says 2010).
