Soundgarden returning thisSummer?

According to a report by Triple M’s music reporter Nui Te Koha the reunited Soundgarden will be doing shows in the country in 2011.

The report revealed that Australian promoters were at Lollapalooza festival in Chicago “trying to lock down dates” and although nothing has been confirmed Triple M assured fans that the tour “will happen early this year”. However when pressed for dates the radio station could only offer the vague answer of “January, February, March next year”.

The timeframe suggests that Soundgarden could tour as part of the line up for Big Day Out or be announced as the third headliner for Soundwave.

After taking a “little break” that lasted for 13 years, Soundgarden’s return has received glowing reviews, with Rolling Stone describing the band’s recent set at Lollapalooza – the band’s third gig since the reunion as “epic”.

The band will release a hits collection called Telephantasm in September, including the unreleased track Black Rain, taken from the Badmotorfinger sessions.

Best gig I ever went to. Soundgarden supported by You Am I. They didn't let enough people in the standing area, so Tim Rogers and then Chris Cornell yelled that everyone should jump the barriers. Security didn't have a chance. You Am I join soundgarden for en epic encore of Jesus Christ Pose.

This was the BDO setlist in 94, if I remember correctly, My Wave and JCP were played at the GC BDO, I'd be happy with this, fuk spoon man off. Needs more Outshined as well

Searching With My Good Eye Closed

Rusty Cage
I Awake (Mother Love Bone cover)
Hands All Over
Face Pollution
Gun
Somewhere
Beyond The Wheel
Spoonman
Slaves & Bulldozers

I'm pretty sure that "I Awake" is track eight from Loud Love and not a Mother Love Bone Cover.

The news of a tour is really good. I'd be interested to see them release a new album.

BDO, you might as well lock it in. I hear it's going to be a '90s fest.

he said that a7x were most likley not going to be on due to asshole manager but they worked it out. he never said iron maiden were too expensive. and im 100% sure that soundgarden would be billed above queens of the stone age.

did you get your quotes wrong or are triple m bigger idiots than i thought? i'm assuming that the two quotes were taken at the same time and are both recent.
