Southbound 2011 line-up

It may only be August but festival season is well and truly under way, and if the 2011 Southbound Festival line-up is anything to go by, we are in for one huge summer of music.

Making her way down under this January to head up Southbound 2011 is the original runaway herself Joan Jett and The Blackhearts guaranteed to be the odd punk out amongst indie rockers Interpol and The National, the latter of which has already served up one of 2010’s finest albums High Violet.

If indie aint your thing then never fear because hip hop legends Public Enemy are returning to Australia to bring in the New Year, with Chuck D and Flavor Flav set to perform their seminal album Fear Of A Black Planet in its entirety.

The local line is also chock full of goodness, with The Living End, Angus and Julia Stone, Tame Impala and Paul Kelly all making appearances
