Queenscliff Music Festivalannounces 1st line-up

Festival announcements may already be coming in thick and fast on FasterLouder but yet another great line-up has today been announced.

Set in a gorgeous seaside location, The Queenscliff Music Festival remains a favourite on the State’s music calendar.

Celebrating its 14th year, the festival’s first round of artists was revealed earlier today at a launch in Federation Square’s Transit Lounge.

Fronting up this year will be Pikelet, Dan Kelly’s Dream Band and it-girl Sally Seltmann.

Kaki King, The Vasco Era, country icon John Williamson and Little Red are also among those named.

Having recently captivated audiences with a series of boozy solo shows, The Drones frontman Gareth Liddiard will front up at the festival in an individual capacity, hopefully with a full new album in tow.

The festival will also play host to RocKwiz Live, an on-the-road reincarnate of the much loved SBS music quiz show

While there’s unlikely to be any Florence-induced fence trampling or faded rocker tantrums , the three day festival will once again include the QMF express; an hourly departing train that offers live performances in four separate carriages.

FasterLouder was on hand to watch Pikelet perform a few songs at Transit Lounge. Check out photos from the launch here
