TTT break up

The band began life as Tic Toc Tokyo in 2005, but changes its name in January this year, just before the release of the debut album Lands.

The band launched the album with a national tour in May and played its finished show on Saturday 31st July at a Melbourne International Film Festival event at The Forum Theatre.

Bass player Adrian Vecino told Mess+Noise that “Nothing really major has happened, we just decided that it was time to call it a day. After being together for almost five years, we were all happy with the album and I guess it was partly wanting to move on to other things, so that’s pretty much it for TTT.”

All four members of the group are planning to continue making music: Vecino and drummer Nic Oogjes are in NOZU, guitarist Marty Umanski drums for Gostelradio, while singer Simon Gibbs is working on a record with Melbourne-based engineer/producer Nao Anzai.
