Soundwave adds four new bandsto 2011 lineup

The Soundwave lineup announcement machine went into over drive last night confirming the nineteenth, twentieth, twenty-first and twenty-second acts for the 2011 festival.
The first confirmation was electropop/crunkcore/screamo group Breathe Carolina, quickly followed by the additions of alternative metal group Nonpoint from Fort Lauderdale and Michigan post-hardcore crew I See Stars.
Though those confirmations have been overshadowed by the confirmation that Guns N’ Roses legend Slash will return to play a headlining set at Soundwave in 2011.
The full lineup will be revealed at midnight Thursday 5th August – with rumours widely circulating that Iron Maiden and Hellyeah will be among the acts added to the lineup for next year’s Soundwave festival.
On a sadder note for Soundwave punters the festival’s promoters have confirmed that rumours of Blink 182 making the journey to Australia next February for the festival are false.
