The Paradise Motel tour
Tue 27th Jul, 2010 in Local News
The seven-piece The Paradise Motel will perform their new album Australian Ghost Story in its entirety, along with select favourites from previous releases on an East Coast tour in September and October.
FasterLouder’s review of the new album declared that the band is “one of the most remarkable Australian bands of the ‘90s, [with] classic releases like Still Life and Flight Paths earning them a solid reputation for their distinctively haunting soundscapes and powerful live shows.”
The review also notes that the new album – based on the events surrounding the disappearance of Azaria Chamberlain in 1980 – retains “the melancholic arrangements and the noir-esque, cinematic quality, this album is a beautiful narrative journey exploring one of the most talked about and culturally significant crime mysteries the country has ever witnessed.”
All shows feature special guest Sianna Lee – of Love Outside Andromeda – who recently released her solo debut Phoenix Propeller .
