Ever the pioneers of progressive social thinking, Soundworks Touring have put together a right bastard of a festival. In their own words:

Bastardfest is the festival of the bastard! To the bloke who forgot his mums birthday, to the dude who makes his pregnant missus put out the bins, to all offensive, obnoxious and despicable individuals – this show is for you. An all day heaving metal feast unlike anything seen before in WA – You’ll fit right in!

Twenty bands, two stages, metal markets, cheap drinks, door prizes from Kosmic and Stomp and an all day barbeque means that even if you weren’t one when you went in, you’d be a bastard at the end of it all.

It goes down at the Civic Hotel in Inglewood on 16 October, tickets are on sale from soundworks or 78s. The first 100 get free barbeque food and a CD from Stomp. And don’t worry if you’re not in Perth, there’s a Bastardfest in Brisbane and Melbourne too
