Splendour in the Grass 2010set times

With such a massive list of bands on the lineup, clashes are almost inevitable at Splendour in the Grass this year.

Ben Harper headlines the first night of the festival with his new group Relentless 7, with The Strokes and Pixies taking the honours on the Saturday and Sunday nights.

There are ten stages, including the Splendour Forum, so there’s a ridiculous number of possible ways to plan your days. Time to organise your festival schedule now!

At a glance there are a few nasty clashes in the mix:

Drums Vs Two Door Cinema Club.
Foals Vs Yeasayer.
Jonsi Vs BSS
Miike Snow Vs Surfer Blood

And the 5th best live band of all time go up against Florence.

it's fucking inexcusable for yeasayer and foals to clash. swap yeasayer for little red and stupid motherfuckers. for $450 i'd say a lot more people would rather check out those two bands then little red. and why the hell would they play before little red anyhow. what world do the organizers live in? they ruined manchester orchestra putting them on too early last year and now this. just like frightened rabbit. gah!

I don't have tickets so I didn't look all that closely, but scanning over them I did notice the Drums vs Two Door Cinema Club clash. Completely stupid, they'd both have the same crowd anyway, may as well have put them one after the other on the same stage.

Glad I didn't go to Splendour :) too many clashes for my liking, I get to see most of the bands clashing by going to solo shows. Yes I know it is more expensive, but longer shows more bands I love = worth it. Plus I don't really care for how much concerts cost.

Seems I almost ticked off the perfect acts while overseas. Jonsi Vs BBS and the overlap of Strokes and BoH are my only issues.

I will be at The Drums, but Two Door Cinema Club were extremely good at Glasto.

why the fuck are the amphitheatre and gw mcglennan stages so fucking far apart?! walking back from one to the other will take up half the day! fuck fuck fuck!

I'm kinda glad I wasn't able to go this year now.

Found it funny(not haha funny) that yeasayer 'n foals clashing and band of horses 'n strokes clashing at both the festival AND their sideshows.

Found it funny(not haha funny) that yeasayer 'n foals clashing and band of horses 'n strokes clashing at both the festival AND their sideshows.Not in Melbourne... you can see all 4... Foals on the Monday, BoH on the Tuesday (you can actually reverse those if you wish cause they are both playing 2 shows), Yeasayer on the Thursday, the Strokes on the Friday.

If they put Foals or Yeasayer against Little Red they end up with almost the whole festival trying to watch the one stage.

does any body have a good picture of the ampitheatre?
looking at the map i'm guessing it's pretty huge.... i'm trying to workout how long it's going to take me to hike between there and the rest of the festival stages.

i hope they have drink stations along the way. and by that i mean bars.
