Kate Nash support announced

When The Cribs’ Ryan Jarman speaks his girlfriend Kate Nash listens, and she has followed Jarman’s advice by choosing The Thin Kids as the support act for her Splendour in the Grass sideshows.

Last year, Jarman told the NME that The Thin Kids were one of his favourite new bands – “They’re from Brisbane, Australia,” Jarman explained “It’s [music journo] Everett True’s new band. It’s very freeform and loose, and being Everett, the lyrics are amazing. It’s very uncompromising and unforgiving. It’s much noisier, much more dissonant and unapologetic.”

The band sees Everett True joined by Edward Guglielmino and Scotty Regan to play songs littered with in jokes about the Brisbane music scene including 23 Things I’d Like To Change About The Brisbane Music Scene and You’re Not On The Guestlist, You’re Not Coming In!.

Kate Nash’s Splendour in the Grass sideshows:

Tuesday 3 August – East Brunswick Club, Melbourne
Wednesday 4 August – Corner Hotel, Melbourne (Sold out)
Thursday 5 August – Metro Theatre, Sydney
