The Gimmies Fulfil TheirAustralian Destiny
Mon 13th Jun, 2005 in Local News
When Japanese rockers The Gimmies finished their new album, they only had one thought: to tour Australia, their spiritual home. After proclaiming, “Australia is our destiny, we were made to play in Australia!” it’s no surprise they’re planning on playing shows around town, in support of their new album Phonic Souls.
With their love for Australian rock, including Radio Birdman and the Saints shining through on this record, their shows are guaranteed to please the punters. With support along the way from Mach Pelican, Sin City, The Specimens and Airbourne, amongst others, there’s bound to be something everyone will enjoy.
Proudly respecting the Ramones, MC5 and Iggy and the Stooges, The Gimmies are bound to teach us it’s only ever about the rock’n’roll.
