Soundwave confirms fifth bandfor 2011 lineup

Following the announcements of hardcore, post-hardcore, pop punk and progressive metal bands, Soundwave has added some metalcore to the lineup.

Five piece metalcore act All That Remains from Springfield, Massachusetts was featured on the Soundwave lineup in 2009 and will be returning to play at the festival in 2011.

the group’s new album For We Are Many is due out in September.

Soundwave already announced several bands for the 2011 lineup, confirming that Welsh post-hardcore band The Blackout, Canadian progressive metal band Protest The Hero and American pop-punkers The Ataris and hardcore crew Trash Talk will all be playing at the festival in 2011.

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this band were actually sick in 2009.

I do not understand why hardcore/metal is even discussed on this website...

PS - Had not even heard of this band before '09 SW, stumbled across them, and they were a solid, tight live metal act and alot of fun. For fans of KSE and the like.

I brought it up because it seems like you can't comment on bands of those genres without the mosh-police coming out to write you off. Are you saying that you are far more educated in metal than I? If so go ahead and drop some science. You're only to keen to write others off, yet seemingly only do it with content you're familiar with, and not content that is relevant i.e. this band...

I don't understand where this lack of consideration for other people's views and take on cyber-bullying has come from. Where you neglected as a child? Perhaps you were bullied for headbanging in church halls by yourself? Either way you really need to get over yourself. If you had a read over any of your recent argumentative posts you'd see that you are the one acting like the mad man and not tyler07 or anyone else you may have encountered. That is of course unless they're Gareth, enough said.

tyler is right, you are starting to sound like the next Gman and that's not a good thing, so stop throwing your weight around where it's not wanted. You don't know everything about every topic in modern music but it's OK, no one does! Stop kidding yourself.

i think "all that remains" is the first good band to be announced. i heard their song on 'the racket' last night and it was a cracker jacker! im gonna go and steal me some.

Very very stock standard metalcore.
They have been around for a while. Around the same time as Killswitch and all the rest. Just a little more, sub par. And that saying something.

i am still confused between hardcore, post hardcore and metalcore but its good to see all bases are covered so far. i also see a "pop-punk" band on the line up. so i would expect some post punk and maybe some progressive punk or some 'ol fashioned plain punk added to the line up to even things out. not to mention some standard metal bands to supplement the progressive metal. i just hope they add some speed metal or thrash metal.

i love how everything is put into little boxes. its nice.
